Finally, The Wait is Over. 28 years later Argentina wins a major tournament like Copa America, Argentina beat Brazil 1-0 in Saturday’s Copa America final to secure the national team’s first title in 28 years. Argentina’s winning goal at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro came in the 22nd minute after Rodrigo De Paul made a long pass to Angel Di Maria. It was only the third goal Brazil conceded in the tournament. Brazil piled on the pressure in an exciting second half but even with five strikers on the field, they could not get an equalizer against the Argentinian defense protected by the outstanding Rodrigo De Paul, Christan Romero, Nicholas Automendi.
Argentina’s win was a particular triumph for Barcelona striker Lionel Messi, who picked up his first-ever title in a blue and white shirt after more than 10 years of club and individual honors.
When the match ended, a tearful Messi was thrown into the air by some of his joyous teammates. The victory was Argentina’s 15th Copa America triumph, after the final whistle, The world loudly said that especially the Argentinian Fan’s start singing-

Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was adjudged the best goalkeeper at Copa America and was presented with the Golden Glove. He kept four clean sheets throughout the tournament including one in the final. Martinez is also the first Argentine goalkeeper to win this award.
Di Maria shined for Argentina as he scored the lone goal of the final against Brazil, which came from a keen flick goal in the first half.As a result, the PSG playmaker won 2021 Copa America Man of the Match honors.
